pc reboot when using usb_storage to copy files from pc to phone

hello I port alan stern's usb mass storage function on our linux phone base on pxa270 with a linux 2.4.20 kernel. Now I came across a problem that for most every PC, during copy files to usb storage device, there is a small percent that pc suddenly reboot. I don't know if this is a software or hardware bug in pc or my usb storage device drivers. We enable usb charging while usb mass storage usage, Is this one of the reason?
