Hi All,

   I am working on Freescale's i.MX21(ARM 9) processor based i.MX Lite
Kit. I have a USB host driver from
http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg42277.html. When I boot my
kernel, the USB host and three ports are identified by the USB driver.

imx21-hc imx21-hc.0: IMX21 USB Host Controller
imx21-hc imx21-hc.0: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1
imx21_hc_reset:797 - NOT IMPLEMENTED YET
imx21-hc imx21-hc.0: irq 55, io base 0x00000000
usb usb1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found
hub 1-0:1.0: 3 ports detected

I have a 2GB flash drive. As soon as I plug it into the USB host
port, the following lines come up.

hub 1-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 2. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
hub 1-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 2. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
hub 1-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 2. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
hub 1-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 2. Maybe the USB cable is bad?

Sometimes, even without the flash drive connected, the kernel gives
the following error:

usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-2: new low speed USB device using imx21-hc and address 3
usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-2: new low speed USB device using imx21-hc and address 4
usb 1-2: device not accepting address 4, error -110
usb 1-2: new low speed USB device using imx21-hc and address 5
usb 1-2: device not accepting address 5, error -110

The USB driver is of the version 2.6.16 and my kernel is of
version 2.6.22. Do I need to port the driver to 2.6.22? Is this a
driver problem or device/board problem?

Thanks,
Midhun.
