Do you think the reply I sent to Sarah safely relies on usb_unlink_urb 
()?  I don't know if it provides the guarantees which that proposal  
would rely on.

It leaves it up to the provider of the operations.  That provider  
manages the infrastructure which dictates the contexts from which  
kick_iocb() and aio_complete() will be called.
