FTDI usb to Rs232 adapter 64 bit support.

Hi People

I am running Ubuntu 7.10 (64 bit), and plugging in the FTDI usb to
Rs232 device does not give me a link to "/dev/ttyUSB0", which it does
on a 32 bit system.
What can I do about it ?
