I have just purchased the IROX version of the same weather station and am about to tackle the same issues on Ubuntu.

Were you able to snoop the USB port using XP on VMWare? I tried to run the weather capture software that came with the station using XP on VMWare and it couldn't see any USB devices.

One thing that I haven't figured out yet is what Linux device to open to access teh weather station. It appear so be a HID device but no modules were loaded for it. I tried a small test program to open /dev/usb/<device that matched port> but the open failed.

My main interest is in using a PC as a datalogger and publishing the information on the web. Once I get teh information the rest is (relatively) easy.

Cheers
Jim
