Well, the problem actually seems to be related to the fact that 
Button.00e9 is not 'Volume' key at all!

Looks like this is another piece of keyboard which doesn't respect what 
HUT standard says, and establishes its own creative mapping of HID usages 
:/

Could you please send me hid-debug output for all the non-working keys, 
with 'annotation' i.e. "this happens when I press the Volume key", etc. 
We'll see what we can do.
