Source of reliable full-speed hubs for testing?

Dear Experts,

I needed to check that some of my stuff would work correctly at 12 
Mbits/s, so I bought a full-speed hub to plug between host and device.  
But this hub has more problems than my own stuff!  It has a 
single-sided PCB about 35mm square with a port on each edge, and a 
single chip under one of those black blobs of gunge.  They even 
economised by not fitting one of the four screws.  With some 
combinations of host and device it simply doesn't work at all ("port 2 
not enabled, trying reset again..." over and over); with other 
combinations it works for a bit and then seems to momentarily 
disconnect from the host; with a few combinations it seems to work 
correctly.  If anyone's curious, it claims to be an Atmel chip; 
vendor=0x03eb, product=0x0902.

I'm aware that problems with cheap hubs are not uncommon, but 
full-speed hubs are getting hard to find and it looks to me as if the 
ones that are left are the very cheapest kind.

I'm guessing that many readers have a full-speed hub that they use for 
testing.  So, does anyone have any recommendations for particular 
models that are available and known to be good?  (From a European 
supplier preferably, but I'll consider anything.)
