probably the best choice here would be using current linux gittree
instead of cirrus' tree.

Maybe you could port cirrus changes to current linux tree and send out
some patches. I have only linux's gittree which started in
linux-2.6.12 and there's a lot of changes in
drivers/usb/gadget/ether.c

Can you give us a link to get the kernel you're using ?
