Dear Smartmontools Developers,

I have generated a new 5.38 release tarball and posted it on the SF 
download section.

If we run into any unforseen problems then we can issue a new release 
5.40.  Please refrain from any significant CVS commits for a few days 
until we are sure that this release has no significant unknown issues.
