Remove -H directive from smartd.conf line. If -a is used, replace with:
   -f -t -l error -l selftest -l selfteststs

USB ID 0x067b:0x2507 identifies a Prolific PL2507 USB bridge. According 
to a report from 2012, it works with JMicron ATA pass-through command 
(-d usbmicron,0). Apparently this does not include the SMART STATUS command.

Could you possibly
1. retry the test on a Linux box or with a Live CD on same machine?

2. retry the test with the disk removed from the enclosure and connected 
to a MB SATA port?

I want to make sure that
1. The Windows SCSI pass-through works properly
2. The disk itself actually returns SMART STATUS OK (as the attributes 
suggest)
