Plausible. "Captive" mean the test is running in exclusive mode and 
drive respond to no commands until test completed.

It's either up to appropriate driver to wait for command completion or 
up to you - don't run the test unless you have device driver that can 
handle it.

Do you have a specific reason to run test in captive mode ?
