For a disk of that age (as mentioned in earlier replies) that number of
hours is correct for a disk that is used most of every day. I have a few
Seagate 7200RPM consumer-grade disks I purchased in 2008 which were in my
main workstation. They recently breached their Power_On_Hours thresholds.

I've recently noticed they run at about 55°C in a cool room even when idle!
I assume there is increased friction in the mechanical parts as a result of
wear. Such significant signs of mechanical wear strike me as a good reason
to proactively replace old disks.
