Thank you for your excellent support. It is still broken on this system but I have checked it on another system and it is working fine.

So, I agree with you that it has driver limitation and would explore more on the driver side.

Please retry with "smartctl -r ioctl,2 -d ata -a ..." and provide the
output.

If this does also not work, this is a driver limitation which could only
be fixed by the driver vendor.
