Hello Christian,

I have reinstalled the package and enabled 64bit version installation. I am not able to see proper data even with 64bit version.

>> Is the driver RAID-capable? If yes, this problem is not unusual.

I am not sure if the drive RAID-capable. Please suggest how to check that.

>> Please try whether "smartctl -d ata ..." provides better results.

Please see the response below.

After that, I have used the “smartctl –a …” and the relevant output attached herewith. It is still not showing proper data.

I have also tried “smartctl –r ioctl,2 –a …” and attach the output.

Thanks,

Ketan

There is no extra package. The one and only Windows package contains both versions. Simply select '64-bit version' in installer GUI. You could also unpack individual files from the installer by opening the exe file in 7-Zip GUI.

Is the driver RAID-capable? If yes, this problem is not unusual.

I see, this driver indicates SAT (SCSI/ATA-Translation) support:

   Vendor: "ATA "

If this is the case, smartctl issues SAT ATA-PASSTHROUGH SCSI commands via SCSI pass-through instead of ATA commands via ATA pass-through I/O-controls.

Please try whether "smartctl -d ata ..." provides better results.

Of course, because this is the SAT ATA-PASSTHROUGH(16) command. The driver is supposed to translate it to the corresponding ATA command.

No, smartctl cannot issue custom commands (exception: -t vendor,0x..).

Does this device support vendor specific commands not covered by T13?

Thanks,

Christian
