Hi Christan, Thanks for the suggestion . But I don't create logical drives when I use smartd . Also there are a bunch of disks in the system . The whole process off using smartctl is automated using scripts . So it is not possible for me to add the logical partition on the smartd.conf on the fly . To test it out make sure it is a smartd problem I created a logical drive . So I can't add the below line to smartd.conf. Any other suggestions ? or can we fix smartd for this .
