Hi Wes,

Thanks for the offer.   Please note that Smartmontools is not "shareware".  It is open-source GPLd software.

We would not need you to contribute code, but it might be very useful to be able to get answers to specific technical questions regarding SMART parameters, which are vendor-defined.  Would you be able to do that?

We'll have some internal discussion about this among the developers and get back to you.
