Sorry, I didn't know that my distribution doesn't use smartctl at all.
This is what I got from developers:
"OSMC doesn't ship with smart tools installed. If you have installed them
they will be either Raspbian (Pi 1) or Debian Jessie (Pi 2/3) versions of
the packages."

So, you can delete this thread because it doesn't have any connection with
the smartctl.
