This are drive firmware issues which cannot be fixed by smartmontools. 
Allowed by ATA standards because the attribute table in the SMART DATA 
block is declared as 'vendor specific' since ATA-4 (1998).

Please check whether these drives support ATA Device Statistics 
(smartctl -l devstat, included in -x). If yes, its Power on Hours count 
may be more reliable.
