That's what I found. There is the new kernel for Update 8 but only a fraction of the other changes (we have RHEL3 servers as well). So it's only a small part of the update. Which is why I think it is weird. I would think John would do nothing or it all. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: 13 October 2006 14:21 To: [email protected] Subject: [WBEL-users] WBEL updates Dear everyone I have read the latest postings with some concern as I have a good many White Box 4.0 machines and a couple of WBEL 3.0. As they are all well behind the firewall or do not connect to the internet I do not run auto update but only update manually when required. BUT I have checked the mirror at ESAT (the one I usually use) and the Version 3.0 Updates folder has been touched on 15/9/06 and indeed a new kernel (2.4.21-47.EL athlon.rpm) has been added, plus lots of other bits and bobs and as far as I can tell from the Firefox browser on this (Windows - sorry) machine ESAT looks OK from here. The Version 4.0 Updates folder has been touched and files added 12/09/06. 4.1 is still at April 06 though. So it's not quite dead yet. Hope this helps? Best wishes Francies _______________________________________________ Whitebox-users mailing list [email protected] http://beau.org/mailman/listinfo/whitebox-users
