Let's not dignify remarks from the likes of Mark Lewis with a reply.

Or maybe he simply doesn't realize that WBEL is a volunteer effort, like
all non-commercial Linuxes. As such, there should be no expectations.
If Mark is unhappy with the timeliness of new distros or updates, maybe
he can improve the situation by helping out, not by complaining.

  <pre wrap="">Hi everyone,

Please forgive me for responding to an troll, would you all mind just dropping this one now.

Mark, I'm happy and very grateful for John making WBEL available when he did.

He built WBEL and made it available without any commitments (nor did I expect any) and lead the way for others to follow.

We still have a couple of servers running happy after nearly 5 years.

I'm also pleased with Centos which I also use.

Just different teams, different objectives and different timings, plenty of room for everyone.

Thanks

Jim

So, Mark, do you run WBEL, or do you just lurk here to be a troll and to
show us just how insensitive and unfeeling the average CentOS proponent
is to the efforts and personal circumstances of volunteers who don't
happen to be among the religious zealots of the CentOS persuasion?

FYI, I tried CentOS and didn't like it much. No version of Linux is
perfect, but all work for someone. If you don't have more interest in
WBEL than do hang around to knock it, perhaps you should go stick your
head in a pig instead?
