Hi all,

i keep having a strange problem on my box with the WOLK kernel series.
I tried differnt versions of WOLK an all expect 2.6.3-WOLK-1.0 show the same:
Everything looks quite normal during boot but if i start up KDE it takes up to 10 minutes until the desktop appears (the system load stays close to zero the whole ten minutes).
When using vanilla 2.6.4 KDE is up & running in less than 30 seconds.
It also works with 2.6.3-WOLK-1.0 and the offical fedora core kernel (2.4.22-1.2174.nptl)

I think the may have something to do with process creation/forking becaus my SMTP-Server (exim-4.3) is showing similar problems. When running WOLK it take up to 120 seconds until i finally get a helo after doing a telnet to the local smtp port.

But i haven't the slightest idea what exacty causes this.

I include my .config and the output of demsg and lspci -vvv.

Thanks in advance.

Frank
