Yep, apply http://linux.bkbits.net:8080/linux-2.5/diffs/include/asm-i386/?nav=index.html| src/.|src/include|src/include/asm-i386|hist/include/asm-i386/i387.h and it should be safe. For 2.4-wolk, 4.10s is the oldest I have flying around on some machines: root@christian:[/] # uname -a Linux christian 2.4.20-wolk4.10s #1 Mon Feb 2 14:51:50 CET 2004 i686 GNU/Linux root@christian:[/] # ./crash ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ............................................................................... ........................................................................*...... ................................*Floating point exception root@christian:[/] # So as you see (or not ;) this bug is known since I don't know when (very long) and fixed several months ago by me in 2.4-wolk. I forgot to merge that fix into 2.6-wolk though :( Another thing why mainline kernels are bullshit concerning security. I am curious if a 2.4.26 mainline + grsec 1.9.15 or 2.0 is still crashable. If it is, aehm, I stop this sentence. You should know what I mean ;) ciao, Marc ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by The 2004 JavaOne(SM) Conference Learn from the experts at JavaOne(SM), Sun's Worldwide Java Developer Conference, June 28 - July 1 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA REGISTER AND SAVE! http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf Priority Code NWMGYKND _______________________________________________ WOLK - Working Overloaded Linux Kernel https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wolk-devel
