Testing a kernel requires several things:
1. lots of spare time (we're talking about a real test here, not just 'does
it boot', or even 'does it compile')
2. a box to test on
I find that it's becoming increasingly difficult to have both at my disposal
at the same time. Maybe it's the same with the others.
Who cares what the version tag is anyway? ;)
