Support wildcards in mimetypes

Currently, the standalone xdg tools (i.e., not falling back to the 
desktop environment) do not support wildcards in mimetypes.

So things like x-scheme-handler/web+* cannot be handled by the xdg 
tools. However, having a desktop environment allows correct handling of 
such things.
