thoughts on rsync..

was reading gentoo-dev and they have a thread about someone on a 486
trying to emerge sync. I guess this guy was taking 20hrs to sync. Anyhow
it came up about ppl syncing all the time.. would it make sense for the
packagemanager to have a soft limit of successfull syncs in a certian
time ( configurable of course ) 

dunno just a thought..
