I strongly agree with this policy, and that we must approach this 
project as a devleopment project, and not an ad-hoc distro. This truly 
does mean we need to follow this process, so I just wanted to add my 
$0.02 to this method of working things.

Life is much clearer and more fruitful when you are writing code to 
meet a predetermined set of goals and specs, am I'm looking forward to 
getting some prelim specs hammered down with the community.
