I would like to pretend that in the very near future you will be able to do this as a query to cliki - at least to get the package names and urls for the current version of each. I don't know how far off "very near" is, mind you. Days rather than weeks, but possibly as many as seven of them. My suspicion is that the tar.gz->deb converter is probably a higher priority for many people, actually.
