To make this more concrete, suppose I have * packaged up LIFT so that it contains two system definitions (lift.asd and lift-test.asd), * packaged up MOPTILITIES so that it containers two system definitions (moptilites.asd and moptilities-test.asd) * lift.asd depends on moptilities.asd. Then suppose I start fresh and ASDF-Install lift. Currently, 1. the LIFT package is downloaded 2. LIFT tries to find moptilities.asd and fails so it is also downloaded 3. moptiliites is compiled and loaded 4. moptilities-test is compiled and loaded 5. lift is compiled and loaded 6. lift-test is compiled and loaded I think that steps 4 and 6 should not be done. The person didn't want to install lift-tests or moptilities-tests. If a system builder wants to make sure that tests get run, then I think that both of the main system definers are flexible enough to support that. -- Gary Warren King metabang.com http://www.metabang.com/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
