standalone operation?

The standalone operation instructions on the cl-http web page (at 
http://wilson.ai.mit.edu/cl-http/configure.html) do not seem to apply 
to Mac OS X (but rather to earlier versions). Does anyone know how to 
set up standalone operation for cl-http 70.190 running on MCL 5.0 
under OS X 10.3? I want to be able to write and test code at home on 
a powerbook running on a wireless network under DHCP, and standalone 
operation seems like one way to do that.
