Rainer Joswig has donated a mac-mini to serve as our new dedicated CL-
HTTP distribution, development, and collaboration machine. LispWorks
Ltd. has donated a copy of their lisp to run on it, and several of us
are putting in some time to bring out a new release and stand up the
new cl-http infrastructure. Although we are introducing a new domain
name for longevity, the machine will remain at MIT CSAIL.

For the time being, you can find CL-HTTP distributions in the
following location:

     http://www.cl-http.org:8000/cl-http/dist/

There will be some devos available, which right now have been updated
for LispWorks and MCL. Updates for ACL are in progress, but we need
people to work on the CMUCL port.

An early draft of the new home page is available here:

     http://www.cl-http.org:8000/cl-http/home-page.html

We invite you to discuss ideas and suggestions of cool and useful
things we can do with the CL-HTTP Web site. Bear in mind that it is
running Mac OS X Server 10.4.2, which supports a number of
collaboration tools.

If you have contributions that need updating, please send them along.

As always, everyone is interesting in hearing about your applications
of CL-HTTP and perhaps listing them in the selected applications
section (which needs some updating).

We can get this job done faster with help from volunteers. so please
consider contributing something or helping on the system
administration end, if you are familiar with mac os x server 10.4.2.
Web site design (eg Style sheets) and documentation are important
areas where we can use help now.

Since funding to support CL-HTTP ended some years back with the wind
down of the White House project, all new development depends on
volunteers and donations. So, please join us in extending our thanks
to Rainer Joswig and LispWorks LTd, not to mention the MIT CSAIL
Laboratory.
