I recently made a fresh install on a Ubuntu (7.10) system, and if I
remember correctly, without any problems (unfortunately, I don't have
access to the system at the moment, so I can't verify this). If you did
have an existing clg installation, make sure that you don't have any old
fasl files around. You could also try to macroexpand the failing form to
see if that gives more information about the error.
