Is there a way to write thread-safe applications using CLG? for example: http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/gdk/gdk-Threads.html These functions don't seem to be bound anywhere in CLG. Asynchronous I/O support would also be handy; is it possible to do that instead? (for example, http://www.pygtk.org/pygtk2tutorial/sec-MonitoringIO.html) I'm basically trying to write a jabber/telnet-type client. So I'd like to wait until input is available from a socket and then update a text-buffer asynchronously. I added bindings to the gdk thread functions just to see what would happen, but I didn't pursue it very far. At any rate, there really isn't a great way for me to test whether it's actually working, and I don't know how CLG works. I noticed that you said a main event-handling loop is never entered explicitly; all events are handled in "the background." If all the bindings were in place to call g_threads_enter and g_threads_leave, would they work as expected?
