I disagree with the suggested treatment.  Daniel found a bug, all by
himself.  The best reward is to let him proudly fix it immediately, so
he can forget about this particular task and lessen the burden on his
brain.  I believe the direct reward to be more motivating than
"maybe in a couple of months".

I'm not saying that the bugs in the bug tracker don't need prioritization as a general matter.
