I'm making good progress, but the delay from the midterm and more seriously from the time when I was ill are definitely an issue. Ahead of me is still some "configuration/detection" that happens outside of autoconf (mostly in lispbibl.d) as well as the integration of some gnulib modules (I "started" without any gnulib module, and added them back as necessary, removing the then superfluous platform dependent code from CLISP's source files).
