Apparently they do, in their Visual Studio 2015 pre-installed image, see

Can you confirm it? Thus, can we ditch the nmake-based build?

I usually port things in the opposite direction: first cygwin, then mingw, then MSVC.
So that at each step, I have a limited set of problems to deal with, not all at once.
