actually, there are quire a few EVALs there - I would rather fix them
all in one shot.

it should be.

the obvious solution is to evaluate some DEFSYSTEM arguments at EVAL time.
right now no DEFSYSTEM arguments are evaluated except with an explicit EVAL.
