after responding I re-read your initial message and the sentence

Set an alarm bell: file permissions!

Try this:

cd /local/src/lisp/clsql/uffi/
ls -l clsql_uffi.dylib

and tell us what you get back as the response.

You could also try this:

chmod 777 clsql_uffi.dylib

To see if that fixes the problem. If it does then you need to
wind back the permissions to the bare minimum for better
file-system security, but 777 is a big hammer to get you on the
road to getting it all working.
