So how about this--you write a POP3 library that does the protocol but
calls specified but unimplemented (by you) generic functions with the
results. Then anyone who wants to talk to a POP3 server in order to
write an MTA or a spam filter (a la POPFile) has a head start on the
part that Ettiquette is good for.
