I was thinking it would be good to have something like
http://common-lisp.net/project/cffi/ where people could go to find out
the status of CLX, any new developments, pdfs of documentation, things
like that.  Perhaps visibility of lack of telent-clx in lisp
distributions would help prompt patches to support them.  It is of
course up to the maintainers of those implementations whether to make
telent-clx the default, but merely having a visible organized presence 
for telent-clx as a project may help convince them it's a good idea to
support it.  I concede this might not be of immediate interest to the
telent-clx maintainers.

common-lisp.net would provide an easily recognized central point for
all CLX activity - for me at least cliki links and the telent servers
were a bit minimalistic as a web presence.  I wasn't thinking so much
of development tools as I was thinking of web presence and visibility.

Certainly, if the person engineering the transition was capable of
those tasks.  I didn't really think it would be hard to transition,
although I might be underestimating that task - query c-l.net to see if
they would be interested, import the current darcs tree to one on
c-l.net, update the cliki links, and create a project webpage (nothing
fancy, something along the lines of cffi I imagine would make a great
deal of sense and be very useful for newcomers.)  It's quite possible I
lack sufficient understanding of the telent servers and services to
make a proper estimate of the pros and cons of this suggestion though -
perhaps a web page could be arranged on the telent servers instead.

Anyway, I guess my main wish would be a more visible "central CLX
website" which could server as a clearinghouse for documentation, code,
and supported lisp status.  c-l.net seemed like a relatively painless
way to host such a site, and a logical place for it, but it's just an
idea.
