I'm happy to read this patch and merge it into my own repository, but you should know that I don't plan to do any kind of release engineering for clisp (as with all other non-SBCL implementations). That is, I won't build with clisp, I won't test with clisp, and I won't personally make releases that claim to support clisp -- that is for someone who uses and maintains clisp to do. (I will offer my darcs repository as a suitable basis for other people to do release engineering from, though). To explain: the exception for SBCL is because I am involved in SBCL development and use CLX with it on a daily basis, and so I am in a position to test and verify it there -- I simply don't have time to perform release engineering tasks on platforms that I don't use. If you are willing to provide support for clisp, you might wish to make simultaneous releases of clx with clisp releases.
