So maybe the problem is in alpha-assem.S We have 18a for DU4 working (I suppose should mean Digital Unix 4), I'm using Tru64 5.1b Maybe those alpha-assem.s needs to be modified for the newer version... I'll try to recover Tru64 4.0f and check if all is fine with it.
