Did you (or automated) update slime?  It can be tricky, as slime
coders marginalize cmucl users.  I stuck with older versions of slime
and would only occaisonally test (with easy reversion) a newer slime.

When I started cmucl, I also spent time trying to get the old tools
such as hemlock working.  It never worked, and eventually I realized I
had no need for it.

If you had it working in some distro/release, and hemlock is
important, why did you change the distro??
