Gitlab anonymous access

I just noticed that gitlab requires authentication. I don't think this
is a good idea because it prevents all those that don't have an account
to even view the repositories.
Also, can we just use git.common-lisp.net ? That currently points to the
ABCL homepage which is very confusing.
