Summary: editing .emacs
Initial Comment:
Having followed your instructions for setting up an IDE
with Emacs on Windows (using only CLISP).
I have commented out what i think needs to be done
(but i'm new to this) and i am getting this error
!! File error (("Cannot open load file" "ilisp")
is it possible for someone to help me.

Sounds like you commented out too much ;-)
Try using the standard .emacs file but just don't byte-compile
it (that way you'll avoid error messages related to the other
lisp implementations you didn't install). If you still have
problems, send me a copy of your .emacs file & a directory
listing of your HOME directory & subdirectories and I'll try to
find the problem for you.
