  I originally wrote the script on a PII running win98 so I don't think the 
OS is the problem.
What ILisp version are you running? What version of emacs?
I use emacs 20.7 and have used 20.3 as well.
The new Ilisp version is what broke the old script.
My version is 5.12 (look in ilisp/HISTORY)
