I downloaded the two patches for CormanLisp 2.5. (I really wanted the floating-point reader fix, but picked up both as long as I was at it.) However, I have been unable to rebuild the system. I'm running Windows XP. Following is a transcript of my attempt. C:\Program Files\Corman Technologies\Corman Lisp 2.5>clconsole -execute sys/compile-sys.lisp ;; Corman Lisp 2.5 Copyright (c) 2003 Corman Technologies. All rights reserved. ;; Unlicensed version: For evaluation and personal use only. ;; Some limitations apply. Type :quit to exit. ? "Creating the file CormanLisp.img" ?;;; An error occurred in function #< COMPILED-FUNCTION: #xC224F0 >: ;;; Error: The function SET-SYMBOL-MACRO is undefined ;;; Entering Corman Lisp debug loop. ;;; Use :C followed by an option to exit. Type :HELP for help. ;;; Restart options: ;;; 1 Abort to top level. Here's a backtrace from the prompt above: :b ;;; ERROR (File sys/conditions.lisp, line 473) ;;; #< COMPILED-FUNCTION: #x14F86B0 > (File sys/conditions.lisp, line 305) ;;; #< COMPILED-FUNCTION: #xC224F0 > (File sys\bootstrap.lisp, line 14) ;;; FUNCALL (File sys/clos.lisp, line 1859) ;;; EVAL (File sys/misc.lisp, line 1025) ;;; COMMON-LISP::PROCESS-TOP-LEVEL-FORM-FOR-LOAD (File sys/compile-file.lisp, li ne 731) ;;; LOAD (File sys/compile-file.lisp, line 756) ;;; #< COMPILED-FUNCTION: #xC02550 > (File sys\load-sys.lisp, line 13) ;;; FUNCALL (File sys/clos.lisp, line 1859) ;;; EVAL (File sys/misc.lisp, line 1025) ;;; COMMON-LISP::PROCESS-TOP-LEVEL-FORM-FOR-LOAD (File sys/compile-file.lisp, li ne 731) ;;; LOAD (File sys/compile-file.lisp, line 756) ;;; #< COMPILED-FUNCTION: #xBDAC10 > ;;; FUNCALL (File sys/clos.lisp, line 1859) ;;; EVAL (File sys/misc.lisp, line 1025) ;;; EVAL (File sys/misc.lisp, line 1025) ;;; TOP-LEVEL (File sys/win-conditions.lisp, line 64) Any help would be much appreciated. The location pointed to in bootstrap.lisp is just before a top-level form that calls set-symbol-macro. Is compile-sys loading something in the wrong order?
