Interesting --- it doesn't run slowly for me but there are many
variables in our setups that might affect this....

I attempted to write a listener for Garnet using Gray Streams and the
multifont widget. I had delusions of grandeur. It sort of "worked"
but not very well.

Anyone interested in looking at what I did can get

  ftp:/ftp.csl.sri.com/pub/users/gilham/garnet-interactive-streams.tar

This uses Garnet and CMU Lisp with Gray Streams loaded.

I don't claim it was the right way to do this in Garnet. In fact,
given the results, rather the opposite. :-)

linus doesnt have what they call a GUI which means that you cant use a
mouse and click on things you have to type in words in a different
language probably finnish I dont know but it wont work unless you
speak at least 10 different languages and one of those languages has
to be a slavic language and you have a phd in 10 different languages
and also can do math real real good - From geraldholmes.freeyellow.com
