In pkgsrc-land we are working on removing crufty pacakages that still use gtk1. So I wonder now that guile 2.0 is out if there will be a stable release of guile-gnome-platform, so that we can update both, and other upstream packages with code that uses guile-gtk can be pushed to change to guile-gnome-platform? Some of those people may be reluctant because using guile-gnome-platform From released packages has been hard for the last several years.
