tests passing on `platform' branch

Hi,

Just a brief note to say that for me, the test suite passes on the
`platform' branch with Guile 2.0.  I have had some issues with the
autocompilation facility, so you might need to build with a
GUILE_AUTO_COMPILE=fresh.
