Perhaps it could be used to avoid having to reimplement Xlib features. Yes, that sounds like a good idea. RPX has been around since 2010 and predates Guile-XCB by a few years (v1.0 released in 2013, IIUC). At the moment, i'm pondering Xrandr support.
